October 3, 2026
Families who enjoy animated fantasy adventures have a new season to look forward to this October. The Wingfeather Saga returns on October 21, 2026, continuing the journey of the Wingfeather family as they search for safety, belonging, and a place to call home.
Season 4 premieres October 21, 2026, on Angel.
The new season follows the Wingfeathers as they arrive in the Green Hollows.
What Is The Wingfeather Saga?
The Wingfeather Saga is an animated fantasy adventure based on Andrew Peterson’s bestselling novels. It follows the Igiby family as they uncover secrets about their past, escape the Fangs of Dang, and face the mysterious ruler known as Gnag the Nameless.
The series includes imaginative creatures, dangerous journeys, humor, family relationships, and questions about courage and belonging. It is a fantasy story rather than a direct retelling of a specific Bible passage, so viewers should approach it as an adventure with meaningful themes—not as a substitute for Scripture.
What Happens in Season 4?
After fleeing the Fang army, the Wingfeathers sail north to the Green Hollows. Nia reconnects with people and traditions from her past, while the children begin training at Guildling Hall. Leeli studies Houndry, and Janner and Kalmar train with the Durgan Guild.
The family hopes to find peace in Ban Rona, but Kalmar’s Fangish appearance leads some people to treat him with fear and suspicion. As distrust grows, the Wingfeathers must face new conflicts that threaten their safety, their honor, and their unity.
Season 4 follows the third book in the series, The Monster in the Hollows. Viewers who want to avoid feeling lost may want to watch the earlier seasons before starting the new one.
Themes Families May Notice
One of the season’s central questions is how people respond when someone seems different or unfamiliar. Kalmar’s appearance affects the way others treat him, creating opportunities for families to talk about fear, judgment, compassion, and acceptance.
The story also follows the family as they try to stay together during a period of change. Their journey can prompt conversations about loyalty, courage, responsibility, and how each person’s choices affect the people around them.
A family conversation starter:
How can we welcome someone who feels different from us? What can we do when other people judge someone before getting to know them?
Is It Suitable for Children?
The series is an animated fantasy adventure made with families in mind, but each household may have different preferences. The story includes frightening creatures, danger, conflict, and emotional moments. Parents who are unsure may want to watch the trailer or preview an earlier season before watching with younger children.
The series’ imaginative world also gives parents a chance to help children tell the difference between fantasy storytelling and biblical accounts. Families can enjoy the story while making clear that its characters and events belong to a fictional world.
Where Can You Watch It?
The first three seasons are available on Angel and through the Angel app. Season 4 is scheduled to premiere on Angel on October 21, 2026. Streaming availability may differ by country, so check the official platform for current access in your region.
